About Buttermilk

Buttermilk is a family business born and bred in Cornwall, now run by David and Tracy Goad (and their sons Henry and Reggie). Their love and enthusiasm for everything sweet has been guiding their Cornish confectionery since 1964 when the first Buttermilk shop opened in Padstow. Back then all their fudge was made by hand above the shop! They’ve come a long way since then, and today are recognised as Great Taste Producers. Despite recent growth, the expert chefs still use the same traditional methods, stirring quality ingredients over open flames – there just a few more copper pans involved now!
